About the creative process.
Under the brief's call for - an up-to-date, straight forward, classic, sophisticated look. I was aspiring for contemporary design with keeping in mind that the product is fine and expensive. The website follows a certain minimal aesthetic, with large grey spaces, a simple up to date colour palette and contrasting fonts. It is built with Wix and adobe's illustrator and photoshop.
The website uses models with a strong facial feature as a central element of the look and feel. pictures of a gift box to let the gift giver know what the gift will look like. The appearance I was aiming for was a sophisticated bold yet chick as if the company has been around for many decades and has a rich history and today is using the name of local in the know celebrities.
For example, the MADE FOR YOU collection is signed by a slick provocative French actress. However, all the rest of the collections is presented by a more locale familiar face. The Jewelry is mainly presented on white background with added shads and shadows. PJ’s online identity for the retails platform is so the website may evolve at a point in the future to more than just a showcase tool.
